About Me
I am an undergraduate bioinformatics researcher with experience in data engineering and research data management, designing data processing tools, developing data pipelines, and streamlining workflows to ensure practical, reliable solutions.
Work Experience
Research Data Management Intern, Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (2024)
In the surroundings of the "EXA4MIND" Horizon Europe project ("EXtreme Analytics for MINing Data spaces"):
- Implemented a research data portal based on the InvenioRDM software. Developed a mechanism of feeding data into the portal from an Elasticsearch-based metadata index.
- Customized and deployed InvenioRDM instance on Cloud-Computing infrastructure at LRZ (on-premises OpenStack) using Ansible, ensuring efficient and reproducible setups.
- Engineered a complex data-ingestion workflow, including a DataCite-compliant metadata validation module, streamlining data quality and integrity.
- Prepared connectivity to European Data Spaces via metadata presentation through a data-space connector.
Research Assistant, Rīga Stradiņš University (2023–Present)
Currently focusing on developing tools for pre-processing and integrative analysis of clinical and multi-omics data (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic) to support precision medicine research.
